A little more about me

Simply put… I'm that guy. You know the one.

I'm the guy who started to feel old at 30 and now swears he feels younger at 45. The guy whose life went nowhere near the way he planned, who has made a ton of mistakes and is proud of the man he is today because of them. I've done a lot, and there's still so much more I want to do.

I'm the guy who orders a diet soda with his Quarter Pounder with cheese and large fry. Things don't always make sense to everyone else, but they make sense to me.

I never thought I'd be a father. Then, after six long, difficult years of trying, and just before giving up, God blessed me with my first son. I've been through tragedy and learned to grow from it. I lost someone extremely important to me, and I'm still figuring out how to live without them. I believe everything happens for a reason, and that even when we don't understand His plan, God has one for us.

I keep things simple and don't complicate what doesn't need complicating. I've never kept a checkbook and rarely know the price of gas (until recently). I try not to take anything too seriously, and I can't be taken too seriously myself. I've been told I'm too sarcastic, and yes, I get annoyed when people are too sarcastic with me.

I rarely leave the house without forgetting something, and I hardly ever know what day of the week it is. But your wedding day? That one I'll never forget.
